About postnatal nutrition & recovery
The weeks after birth are when mothers most need nourishing, and when they are least likely to be fed well. Recovery, feeding, broken sleep and the sheer demands of a newborn leave little room for thinking about food.
Our Nourish at Home nutritional therapists come to you, so there is nothing to organise and nowhere to be. Together we plan meals and snacks that support healing, steady energy and mood, and your nutritional needs if you are breastfeeding, all built around one-handed eating and whoever is doing the shopping.
We can also work with partners and family, so the people supporting you know exactly how to help.
How it can help
- Physical recovery after vaginal or caesarean birth
- Energy, iron and tiredness
- Nutrition while breastfeeding

- An unhurried home visit, baby welcome and feeds expected
- A recovery-focused plan and simple shopping list
- A pantry reset for one-handed, nourishing snacks

How soon after birth can you visit?
As soon as you feel ready. Some families book a visit in the last weeks of pregnancy so a plan is in place before the baby arrives, then a follow-up in the early weeks.
Can you help with nutrition while breastfeeding?
Yes. We look at what you need to feel well while feeding, and at the practical side of actually getting enough to eat and drink.
Do I need to tidy up or cook anything?
Not at all. We come to you as you are, in the middle of real life with a newborn.
